Understand the information involved
Citation processes account information, user supplied content and the technical information needed to operate its features. The privacy policy describes those categories, the relevant purposes and the providers used by the service.
California privacy requirements depend on the applicable law and the circumstances of the processing. A privacy request should identify what you want to know or change and the account or content it concerns.
Access, correction and deletion
Use the contact route to request information, correction or deletion where the relevant rights apply. We may need to verify the request and your authority over the information before responding. Avoid including a password or another person’s private documents.
An organization using Citation may separately control personal information in the work it uploads. If your request concerns that organization’s content, its own privacy process may also be relevant.
Browser preferences
Citation’s cookie policy describes browser storage and public page analytics. Account authentication, saved preferences and recovery of unsynced work have distinct purposes. Review the effect of clearing browser data before removing an unfinished local draft.
