Exchange Markdown notes with your Obsidian vault

Overview

Import a note you select, or export a draft as Markdown. A separately installed local companion adds explicit clipboard transfers and reviewed reference insertion. Citation does not browse the rest of your vault.

How to get started

Select a Markdown note from your vault, paste a note copied by the Citation companion, or prepare a new note for a vault you choose.

Open integration settings and choose Obsidian. Review the available actions and any setup guidance. Imports are previewed before you save selected references or a new draft.

Availability

Use Markdown and TXT file exchange through integration settings. The local companion requires manual installation, and native vault validation is still pending.

What to expect

The local companion requires installation in Obsidian. Clipboard imports and opening a new note require an explicit action. Citation does not scan your vault or sync changes automatically. Markdown remains editable text.
