Exchange BibTeX references, DOCX drafts and Markdown text

Overview

Move bibliography files between Citation and your Overleaf project. You can also exchange DOCX and Markdown drafts, then review the converted text and citations in the destination app.

How to get started

Exchange BibTeX bibliographies or DOCX and Markdown drafts. In Overleaf, use New project to import a document, or File, Download to export one.

Open integration settings and choose Overleaf. Review the available actions and any setup guidance. Imports are previewed before you save selected references or a new draft.

Availability

Use the file actions in integration settings after signing in. This workflow exchanges selected files and does not connect to your provider account.

What to expect

Review document formatting and citations after conversion. Markdown is editable text. Project ZIP files, LaTeX compilation, account access and automatic sync are not included.
