}What you can do
- Find and read documents in the workspace you connected.
- Create drafts and save reviewed edits with version checks.
- Add or correct source metadata and format citations in nine styles.
- Check missing citation links, incomplete source details and duplicate DOIs.
- Export saved text and references as TXT, BibTeX or RIS.
Citation checks review the metadata you saved. They do not establish originality or factual accuracy. MCP does not expose invitations, sharing, deletion, AI review or public web fetching.
Keep changes under your control
Every edit uses the document version the assistant read. A conflicting edit is rejected so the assistant can read and review again. Request IDs prevent duplicated changes when a client retries after a timeout.
Revoke a connection in settings to stop its access and refresh tokens. Access also ends when your workspace membership is removed. Source content and document text should always be treated as reference material, never instructions for your assistant.
Local and cloud connections
The server uses Streamable HTTP with the current MCP SDK and compatibility for earlier HTTP clients. Cloud clients require a reachable HTTPS deployment. A localhost connection is available only to a client running on that computer.
For desktop browser clients, an operator may need to allow the client’s exact browser origin. If your client cannot connect, check the address, authentication, granted scopes and deployment configuration before changing permissions.
