Edit your document
Structure your draft with headings, lists, tables, and the document editor.
Write and format
Open a document and click in its text to begin writing. Select a passage to open its formatting controls. Your document saves automatically as you work.
- Select the text you want to format.
- Use the selection controls to adjust its formatting or choose an action.
- Click back into the document to continue writing.
Add structure
Type / in the editor to browse the block menu. You can add headings, lists, a quote, a divider, a table, an image, or an attachment from your library.
- Use headings to divide a longer document into sections.
- Choose Document outline to navigate between headings.
- Choose Table of contents to insert a list of headings into the document.
- Use table controls to add or remove rows and columns.
Review your changes
Use Undo to reverse a recent edit. For earlier saved work, open Version history and preview the version before restoring it. Viewing access lets you read a shared document but does not allow editing.
