Prepare your references
The References area in Cite shows the bibliography for the saved sources. Review the entries and use Copy all when you need the formatted references elsewhere.
To move reference data to another tool, open Export and choose Sources as BibTeX or Sources as RIS. These files transfer reference data rather than the full document layout.
Check the details
Formatting depends on the information saved with each source. Review author names, dates, titles, and publication details. A correctly formatted entry still needs to describe the source you actually used.
